A Rosy Ménage à trois

This is a vintage “Blair” top that I added unconventional cross stitch to. Why is it unconventional? Thanks for asking. Because I didn’t use cross stitch (Aida) fabric, instead I used the grid of the gingham to simulate Aida fabric. I drew the design myself with water soluble pen, stitched it, then washed the pen out. The top two roses also have tiny French knots in the centers of each “x”, while the rose on the bottom left side is completely composed of “x”s. In the words of the philosopher Caleb Herron, in every threesome there’s always an admin. I guess that this is kinda like that.
