I’ve been holding onto This top for a while, because it was too simple on its own for me to sell, but I knew I would eventually find something to add that complimented the deep purple color.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGoing through an estate sale one day, I found a single quilted floral panel that was in a pile of things to be thrown away if they weren’t purchased that day. Of course, I took it home and immediately knew it would be the ideal statement for this top. I carefully cut The floral piece out of the cotton square it was on and pinned it to the halter top, then pinned it again, then pinned it once more until I felt like the placement was perfect. I didn’t want to distract from the beautiful hand stitching that had already been done on the floral appliqué, so I used a coordinating green thread and blanket-stitched in the same style as the original artist all along the edges.
