An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, Narcissus 'Sabrosa' is a delightful dwarf jonquil daffodil, its short, sturdy stems each carrying two to four beautifully formed miniature blooms in clear lemon-yellow. Reaching just 8-10cm tall, it's an ideal choice for the front of borders, troughs, rockeries or containers, where its neat scale and dainty flowers can be properly appreciated up close.

Best planted in autumn, at one and a half to two times the depth of the bulb, in well-drained soil that stays moist through spring but drier and warmer for the rest of the year. It thrives in full sun or partial shade, and in more exposed or damp gardens may benefit from the sharper drainage of a raised bed or bulb frame to flower reliably. Deadhead as flowers fade and allow the foliage to die back naturally.
